Recovery & care
Cairo
Egypt's clinical anchor and the gateway for every Cure Pass journey. Cairo concentrates our accredited surgical partners — Vascular Art Clinic in Heliopolis for vascular and cosmetic work, Haya Dental in Mohandessin for implants and smile design — all within 25 minutes of the recovery hotels we book. Direct flights from across the GCC, Europe and Africa land at Cairo International, where your coordinator meets you on arrival.
Travel & visa
- Visa
- Most nationalities get a 30-day single-entry e-Visa for USD $25, applied for online before you fly, or a visa on arrival at Cairo International (CAI). We send an invitation letter where it speeds approval.
- Money
- The Egyptian pound (LE). Cards work in hotels, malls and larger clinics; keep some cash for taxis, tips and the bazaar. Cure Pass invoices in USD or EUR.
- Language
- Arabic. English is widely spoken in hospitality and healthcare; our coordinators work in EN/AR/FR throughout your stay.
- Climate
- Warm and dry year-round. Oct–Apr is ideal (mild 20–25°C). Jun–Aug is hot (35°C+) but dry — clinics and cars are air-conditioned.
- Time zone
- EET, UTC+2. Two hours ahead of London, one behind the Gulf.
- Power
- 220V, Type C/F plugs (European two-prong). Hotels provide universal adaptors on request.
Things to do
Cairo rewards a slow recovery. Outings stay light and optional, cleared by your surgeon and paced around your appointments.
- Day 3+ — A gentle felucca hour on the Nile at sunset, or a quiet garden café in Zamalek. Short, flat, and close to your hotel.
- Day 7+ — A measured morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum or the Giza plateau, with the car waiting and rest breaks built in.
- Day 10+ — The fuller day, if you are cleared: Khan el-Khalili bazaar, Old Cairo, and a Nile dinner your coordinator can book.
