Recovery & care
Sharm El Sheikh
Egypt's Red Sea capital and Cure Pass's flagship recovery base. Year-round 24°C sea, oxygen-rich coastal air, and a clinical strip on Naama Bay that handles dermatology, LASIK and dental, plus our outpatient base for post-op recovery. Most patients heal here for a few days after surgery in Cairo, placed in four-star recovery hotels we brief for post-op rest, 15 minutes from the clinic.
Travel & visa
- Visa
- Sharm allows a free 15-day Sinai-only pass for most nationalities, issued on arrival at SSH. If you will travel to Cairo or beyond, you will need a full Egyptian e-Visa (USD $25) — we send the invitation letter.
- Money
- Card-accepting almost everywhere in Naama Bay. Keep ~LE 1,000 cash for tips and small transfers. Cure Pass invoices in USD or EUR.
- Language
- Arabic. English fluency is hospitality-wide; Russian and German are common on the strip. Our coordinators speak EN/AR/RU.
- Climate
- Year-round mild. Apr–Jun and Sep–Nov are ideal (mid-20s°C). Jul–Aug is hot (35°C+) but dry. Dec–Feb is the lowest season, a gentle 20°C — best for skin and lung-recovery patients.
- Time zone
- EET, UTC+2. Two hours ahead of London, seven ahead of New York.
- Power
- 220V, Type C/F plugs (European two-prong). Hotel rooms have universal adaptors on request.
Things to do
When you are not at clinic, outings stay light and optional — the sea air alone earns its place in the recovery protocol.
- Day 3+ — Slow beach walks at Naama Bay and quiet seafront cafés. Shade, water and short distances.
- Day 7+ — Gentle snorkelling once your surgeon clears the water, from a calm house reef rather than a boat day.
- Day 10+ — A desert quad sunset or a Mount Sinai trip, if you are well — and your coordinator's restaurant list any evening.
