Open-Heart Surgery in Egypt: 2026 Costs & How It's Arranged

Realistic 2026 price ranges for open-heart surgery and cardiac procedures at accredited Egyptian hospitals, what the price includes, and how a safe cardiac journey is organised.

Cardiac surgery enquiries are among the most serious we receive — from Sudan, Libya, Yemen and the Gulf. It is a special case in medical travel: the decision is medical first and financial second, so we present the numbers transparently and then the safeguards.

2026 price ranges

At accredited Egyptian hospitals with dedicated cardiac units, open-heart surgery (coronary bypass or valve repair) runs roughly $6,000–$12,000, including hospital stay, intensive care and the surgical team's fees. Therapeutic catheterisation and stenting cost far less — typically $2,000–$4,000. The same procedures in the Gulf start at roughly three times these figures.

What sets the final price

The number and condition of affected arteries, the valve type if any, comorbidities (diabetes, kidney function) and the expected ICU stay. A final price is therefore only given after your complete file is reviewed: ECG, echo, diagnostic catheterisation results if available, and medication reports.

How the journey is arranged safely

A consultant cardiologist reviews your file remotely first and confirms that travel is safe in your case. You then receive a written plan: surgery date, expected stay (usually 10–14 days, of which 5–7 in hospital), arrangements for your companion, and follow-up after you return. A companion's accommodation is included in CURE PASS cardiac packages.

Send your complete reports via a free assessment request — the consultant reviews them and responds within 48 hours.
